Remi
Terms of Service
Remi is a product of Reasoning Intelligence, Inc., a Delaware corporation operating in California. These terms govern your use of the Remi mobile app and the services used to authenticate you, process captures, send reminders, and store or search your content.
Effective date: April 8, 2026
Applies to: Remi for iOS and Android, plus related backend and support services
1. Agreement to These Terms
These Terms of Service govern your use of the Remi mobile app and the related services used to operate it. By creating an account, accessing the app, or using Remi, you agree to these terms.
If you do not agree, do not use Remi. If you use Remi on behalf of a company or another person, you represent that you have authority to bind that party to these terms.
2. Eligibility and Accounts
You must be old enough to enter a binding agreement where you live and at least 13 years old to use Remi. You are responsible for providing accurate account information and for controlling access to the phone number, device, and one-time codes used to access your account.
You are responsible for activity that occurs through your account unless caused solely by Remi's own failure. If you believe your account or device has been compromised, stop using the service and take steps to secure your account and device immediately.
3. What Remi Does
Remi is a memory and reminder tool. It lets you:
- Capture thoughts in text or voice.
- Transcribe and classify those captures.
- Organize captures into notes or todos.
- Search saved content.
- Receive reminders at relevant times or, where available, around relevant places.
Some features may depend on connectivity, device capabilities, permissions, operating-system support, experiments, or third-party services. Remi may add, remove, or modify features at any time.
4. Your Content
You retain ownership of the content you submit to Remi. That includes your typed captures, voice recordings, transcripts, notes, todos, reminder text, and related materials.
You grant Remi a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide license to host, store, reproduce, transmit, transcribe, classify, organize, display, and otherwise process your content solely as needed to operate, secure, improve, and support the service.
You are responsible for ensuring you have the rights to submit your content and that your use of Remi does not violate law, confidentiality obligations, intellectual property rights, or the rights of others.
5. Acceptable Use
- Do not use Remi for unlawful, infringing, deceptive, abusive, harassing, or fraudulent conduct.
- Do not attempt to interfere with the app, circumvent security, probe for vulnerabilities, scrape data at scale, or gain access to another user's account or content.
- Do not use Remi to store or process content if doing so would violate another person's privacy, contractual rights, or legal protections.
- Do not use Remi in a way that could damage the service, other users, or third-party providers.
6. Third-Party Services and Platforms
Remi relies on third-party providers for parts of its operation, including:
- Authentication services.
- Cloud infrastructure.
- Analytics and diagnostics.
- Transcription and speech processing.
- Notifications and push messaging.
- App distribution platforms.
Those providers may impose their own terms and policies, and Remi is not responsible for third-party products or services it does not control.
Your download, installation, and use of Remi through Apple, Google, Expo, or other platform operators may also be subject to the terms, policies, and technical limitations of those platforms.
7. Important Reminder, Transcription, and Location Disclaimers
Remi is a convenience tool, not an emergency service, medical device, legal service, or safety-critical system. Do not rely on Remi for emergencies or for any task where a missed, delayed, or inaccurate reminder could cause injury, financial loss, legal harm, or other serious consequences.
Voice transcription, classification, search, time-based reminders, and location-based reminder behavior may be incomplete, delayed, unavailable, or wrong. Factors that can affect how Remi works include:
- Background permissions and device settings.
- Operating-system behavior and restrictions.
- Network interruptions or limited connectivity.
- Third-party provider failures or limitations.
8. Updates, Experiments, and Service Changes
Remi may deploy app updates, configuration changes, experiments, feature flags, or over-the-air updates without separate notice where allowed. Features may vary across users, devices, regions, and versions.
Remi may suspend, limit, or discontinue any part of the service at any time, including for maintenance, security, legal, or product reasons.
9. Suspension and Termination
You may stop using Remi at any time. Remi may suspend or terminate access if you violate these terms, create risk for the service or other users, or if continued service is no longer commercially or legally practical.
Sections that by their nature should survive termination, including sections covering ownership, licenses, disclaimers, liability limits, disputes, and enforcement, will survive termination.
10. Disclaimers
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Remi is provided on an as-is and as-available basis. Remi disclaims warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and any warranty that the service will be uninterrupted, secure, accurate, or error-free.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Remi and its affiliates, service providers, and licensors will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, revenue, goodwill, or business opportunities arising from or related to your use of the service.
If applicable law does not allow the full exclusion above, Remi's total liability will be limited to the greatest extent permitted by law.
12. Governing Law and California Consumer Notice
These terms and any dispute arising out of or relating to these terms or the service are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules, except to the extent federal law or another non-waivable law applies.
Unless applicable law requires otherwise, any dispute arising out of or relating to these terms or the service will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Delaware, and each party consents to the personal jurisdiction and venue of those courts.
If Remi offers paid features, subscriptions, or other charges, the applicable pricing and billing terms will be disclosed in the relevant purchase flow, app store listing, order screen, or other product notice presented to you before you are charged.
Under California Civil Code section 1789.3, California users may contact the Complaint Assistance Unit of the Division of Consumer Services of the California Department of Consumer Affairs by mail at 1625 North Market Blvd., Suite N-112, Sacramento, CA 95834, or by telephone at (800) 952-5210 or TTY 1-800-735-2929.
13. Changes to These Terms
Remi may update these terms from time to time. The updated version will be posted at this URL with a revised effective date. If you continue using Remi after the updated terms become effective, you agree to the revised terms.
